London Psychotherapy and Counselling

Do you need to talk?

Most people experience emotional difficulties at some point in their lives. Sometimes, however, suffering can become intense or prolonged. You may find yourself repeating old patterns or acting in ways that sabotage your best intentions: life may lack meaning or seem unfair or you may feel stuck, unable to release yourself from troubling emotions.

If this is the case, then therapy can be one of the healthiest and most responsible ways forward. I offer a safe, confidential and compassionate space in which to explore whatever is troubling you. This exploration aims not only to bring relief from the troubling symptoms, but to offer a new sense of self-knowledge, openness and fulfilment.

Couples counselling

For couples, counselling can help to overcome entrenched difficulties or more immediate problems in the relationship. If a couple have decided to separate, counselling can be very effective in enabling them to move forwards in a gentle and considered manner, especially where children are involved.

Therapy can help with:

  • Depression and anxiety – inability to function or find pleasure in life, worthlessness, constant worrying, panic attacks
  • Relationship problems – such as difficulty in making or sustaining relationships, separation and loss, concerns over sexuality, sexual issues
  • Troubling emotions – such as uncontrollable anger, guilt, shame, unresolved grief
  • Work problems – such as stress, dissatisfaction, conflict with colleagues
  • Blocks in creativity – both in artistic endeavour or more broadly in creating a life that is fulfilling and dynamic
  • Destructive habits – such as addictions, compulsive behaviours, eating disorders
  • Childhood trauma – such as physical or emotional neglect or abuse
